Here's how paying works, and what you'll know before you agree to anything.

How the price is built

Four things shape what you pay.

  1. The first visit is free

    It costs nothing, by telemedicine or in the office, whatever you decide afterward.

  2. Then the dose sets the price

    Treatment is priced by dose level, and every visit with Dr. Carroll is included — the monthly appointments, and any extra ones you need. Move up a level and the price moves with it; settle at a lower one and it follows you down. You're paying for the medication and the care together, not a fee per visit.

  3. Your price stays tied to your dose

    It's set by your dose, not by how long you've been a patient. There's no enrollment fee and no renewal fee.

  4. Maintenance costs less

    Once you reach your goal, the dose comes down and so does the price. Maintenance is twice a month instead of weekly, so it runs about half — and you're still seen once a month.

What the price covers

One price for the medication and the care. Two things sit outside it.

Included
The medication, the syringes and injection supplies to take it, and every visit with Dr. Carroll — the monthly appointments and any extra ones.
Not included
Lab work, which isn't routine here. If something in your history makes it sensible, Dr. Carroll will say so.
Shipping
Separate, and the office will tell you the cost of standard or guaranteed two-day delivery. Picking it up costs nothing.
Shipped cold
Every shipment goes out packed with ice packs to keep the medication cold while it travels.

When you'll know your price

What you pay depends on which medication is right for you and the dose you settle at, and both of those come out of your first visit with Dr. Carroll — that is the point of having one. He gives you the real number at that visit, before anything starts. Nothing is charged that day.

When your dose changes, the cost changes — so it gets raised again at that visit rather than appearing on a statement afterwards. If cost is part of your decision about stepping up, tell him. It's a normal part of the conversation.

Treatment is paid for directly rather than billed to insurance.

Common questions about paying

How much does the first visit cost?

Nothing. The first visit is free, whether you're seen by telemedicine or come to the Maitland office, and that's true whether or not you go on to be treated.

How is semaglutide or tirzepatide treatment priced at BeSlimMD?

By dose level. As your dose changes the price changes with it — it doesn't rise because you've been a patient for longer, and there's no enrollment fee for being new.

When will I know what my treatment will cost?

At your free first visit, before you commit to anything. Dr. Carroll goes through what treatment would involve and what it would cost, and it's reviewed with you again whenever your dose changes.

Do I pay extra for each doctor visit?

No. Visits are included in the price of treatment — the monthly ones and any extra ones. Calling the office doesn't cost you anything either.

Are syringes and injection supplies included in the price?

Yes. The price of treatment covers the medication, the syringes and injection supplies you need to take it, and every visit with Dr. Carroll.

Are lab tests included?

No, and lab work isn't routine here. If something in your history makes it sensible, Dr. Carroll will say so at your visit.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is charged separately from treatment, and the office will tell you the cost of standard or guaranteed two-day delivery. There's no fee if you pick it up instead.

Is my medication shipped cold?

Yes. Every shipment is packed with ice packs to keep the medication cold while it travels. In Florida heat, it's one of the first things people ask about.

Does insurance cover weight-loss treatment at BeSlimMD?

No. Treatment here is paid for directly instead of through insurance. Ask at your first visit and we'll explain.

What if I need to pause or stop treatment?

Tell the office. There's no block of visits to commit to and no fixed pause or refund policy — Dr. Carroll looks at each situation individually.

Why is there no price list on this page?

Because what you pay depends on which medication you're prescribed and the dose you settle at, and both are worked out with Dr. Carroll at your first visit. He gives you the real figure then, before anything starts.

What should I ask a weight-loss clinic before paying for treatment?

What the quoted price excludes, what happens to it when your dose goes up, and whether it changes if you stay in treatment longer. Ask us the same three questions.
